00Cr17Mo1 is an ultra-low carbon molybdenum-reinforced ferritic stainless steel bright bar with carbon content ≤0.025%, chromium 16.0%~19.0% and molybdenum 0.75%~1.25%, equivalent to JIS SUS436L, EN 1.4113 and low-carbon improved AISI 434. It features balanced mechanical properties, moderate tensile and yield strength with stable load-bearing capacity, excellent plasticity and deep drawability. Appropriate deformation occurs under force to avoid brittle fracture. Its ultra-low carbon formula restricts carbide precipitation during welding and eliminates sensitized intergranular corrosion. Molybdenum significantly enhances resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride ions, delivering far better performance against salt spray, mild acid & alkali and coastal humid environments than ordinary 00Cr17 stainless steel. It offers smooth machining with low tool wear in turning, milling and drilling. Cold drawing & precision grinding stably produce workpieces with ultra-smooth surface finish and precise dimensional accuracy. It has superior thermoplasticity for hot working, supporting smooth hot rolling and forging for all kinds of blanks and welded components. Only slight work hardening appears in cold working, ensuring stable bending and cold heading while improving surface and comprehensive mechanical performance. Nickel-free design brings prominent cost advantages; combining corrosion resistance, soft magnetism and excellent weldability, it serves as special core raw material for precision shafts and valve bodies in food, plumbing, automotive exhaust and mildly corrosive chemical working conditions, effectively extending equipment service life.
