303 is a sulfur free-machining austenitic stainless steel bright bar. Sulfur is added on the basis of 304 to optimize machinability. It is non-magnetic and retains the basic excellent corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel. It features balanced mechanical properties with moderate tensile and yield strength and good plasticity. Uniform plastic deformation occurs under force to avoid brittle fracture. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment; work hardening will occur during cold working, and plasticity can be restored by solution annealing. It boasts outstanding cutting performance: sulfur inclusions act as internal lubricants and improve chip breaking, greatly reducing tool wear in turning, milling, drilling and automatic lathe processing, raising machining efficiency and easily producing workpieces with ultra-smooth surface finish and precise dimensional accuracy. It has good thermoplasticity for smooth hot rolling and forging. Cold working processes including bending, cold heading and stamping are available. With strong versatility, it is the preferred stainless steel for automatic mass precision machining, widely used in manufacturing standard fasteners, valve parts and precision instrument components.

Core Advantages Over Competitors
1. High quality stability: Standardized full-process production and closed-loop quality inspection accurately control chemical elements including carbon, chromium, nickel, sulfur and manganese with tiny composition fluctuation, ensuring uniform machinability and hardness of the whole batch for stable mass automatic processing.
2. Excellent surface quality: High-precision cold drawing and centerless grinding production lines produce bars with smooth and flat surface. The smooth surface reduces tool friction loss and surface stress concentration to extend component service life. No peeling or scratches on finished surface to save secondary polishing procedures.
3. Ultra-high dimensional accuracy: Imported precision rolling mills and automatic online dimension detectors realize narrow dimensional tolerances with tiny dimensional difference within the same batch, unified part sizes during mass processing and higher finished product yield.
