N08028 bright bar is an ultra-low-carbon high-Cr-Ni-Mo-Cu iron-nickel austenitic corrosion-resistant alloy, specially developed for severe corrosive environments such as wet phosphoric acid and strong acid media containing chloride and sulfide. Its high-nickel & high-chromium matrix with molybdenum and copper additives delivers balanced comprehensive mechanical properties, moderate tensile and yield strength, excellent uniform plasticity to avoid brittle fracture under load. Stable adjustable performance can be obtained via solution heat treatment to meet diversified demands of anti-corrosion parts manufacturing. It owns stable cutting performance with low tool wear, enabling high-precision and high-finish workpieces through turning, milling and drilling. It features wide hot working temperature range and superior thermoplasticity for smooth forging and hot rolling to produce various special-shaped blanks and finished products. Cold working will cause work hardening, and intermediate annealing can be adopted to realize shaping and optimize material performance. With PREN value reaching 35~38, the alloy boasts outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride stress corrosion cracking. It maintains long-term stability in sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, organic acids, sour oil & gas media with H₂S/CO₂, seawater and flue gas desulfurization environments.
