N08825 (Incoloy 825, W.Nr.2.4858, Chinese grade NS142) bright bar is a titanium-stabilized austenitic nickel-iron-chromium-molybdenum-copper corrosion-resistant alloy. Formulated with multi-element nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper and titanium, it delivers excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments with balanced comprehensive mechanical properties, moderate tensile & yield strength and superior plasticity. It deforms evenly under load to avoid brittle fracture. Its strength and corrosion resistance can be stably controlled by solution heat treatment to meet diversified manufacturing demands of anti-corrosion components. It features stable cutting performance with low tool wear, enabling high-precision, high-finish workpieces via turning, milling and drilling. It owns wide hot working temperature window and outstanding thermoplasticity for smooth forging and hot rolling to produce various special-shaped blanks and finished products. Cold working leads to work hardening, while intermediate annealing can realize shaping and upgrade overall material performance. Titanium combines preferentially with carbon to form stable titanium carbide, so the alloy resists intergranular corrosion after welding without post-weld heat treatment. High-nickel matrix matched with molybdenum and copper provides prominent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion. It maintains long-term stability in sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, organic acids, alkaline solutions, seawater, sour gas and pickling environments. As a core material for key components in chemical, oil & gas, flue gas desulfurization, nuclear power and marine engineering industries, it guarantees long-term stable operation of equipment under corrosive service conditions.
