N08904 is ultra-low carbon high Ni-Mo-Cu super austenitic stainless steel bright bar.
High molybdenum forms dense passivation film, copper enhances resistance to reducing acids, and high nickel restrains chloride stress corrosion cracking. Ultra-low carbon eliminates chromium carbide precipitation between 425~850℃, no intergranular corrosion sensitization after welding, post-weld solution annealing is unnecessary for thick weldments.
Trace nitrogen solid-solution strengthening doubles yield strength vs 304, with outstanding plasticity, deep drawability and cold heading performance, uniform plastic deformation without brittle fracture risk. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment; cold working induces work hardening, while high toughness can be restored via solution rapid cooling at 1030~1100℃, fully non-magnetic after solution annealing with single-phase austenite matrix.
