S30432 is a high-grade austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel bright bar strengthened by composite alloying elements Cu, Nb, N and B. Optimized based on 304H, it contains 0.07%~0.13% carbon, 2.5%~3.5% copper, 0.2%~0.6% niobium plus trace nitrogen and boron, specially developed for ultra-supercritical power generation units.
Dispersion strengthening from nano copper-rich precipitates, Nb(C,N) and M₂₃C₆ carbides delivers outstanding creep and stress rupture resistance under long-term high-temperature & high-pressure steam service at 600~680℃. Its allowable stress at 600℃ is 25%~30% higher than TP347H, and it maintains stable short-term oxidation resistance up to 700℃.
It features balanced room-temperature mechanical properties, sufficient tensile & yield strength and excellent ductility for uniform plastic deformation without brittle fracture. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment; cold working induces work hardening, while solution annealing restores high toughness. It has excellent thermoplasticity for smooth hot rolling & forging, and supports cold forming processes including bending, cold heading and stamping, with stable machinability for CNC turning, milling and drilling.
Niobium binds carbon to significantly reduce intergranular corrosion sensitization after welding. It boasts superior high-temperature steam oxidation resistance with dense, non-spalling oxide scale and stable microstructure without embrittlement during long-term high-temperature service. It serves as cost-effective premium heat-resistant raw material for high-temperature pressure-bearing shafts, high-temperature valve bodies and boiler fasteners in thermal power, solar thermal and petrochemical industries.
